Josef Kinski och döden

Joseph Kinski and the death

In 2009 I published my second novel “Joseph Kinski and the death”. It´s a book in which various opinions about death are being discussed. Death and it´s meaning in the book appears unfathomable, something evasive. Death will not allow itself to be portrayed by theoretical arguments, and in that respect death is a question of experience – we get to know death through life in many ways. On the outside back cover you can read:

A barber, to his surprise, is commissioned to write a book about grave-digger Joseph Kinski´s thoughts about death. The prerequisites might, however, have been better, since the barber himself is dead and buried in a cemetery. Nevertheless he succeeds. By visiting Joseph and reading his diaries and letters, he gets an insight into Joseph´s strange world of ideas. “Joseph Kinski and the death” is a captivating and nuanced book about death, furthermore written with a humorous undertone.

"Joseph Kinski and the death" was well received by Swedish critics.
